I have recently met women who have asked me the same question. Keep in mind, these women don’t know one another, yet, they have the same story.
God has given each of them a ministry and a unique purpose on this earth, and for His kingdom.
When they talk to me, it would appear that they are what many people call “The Black Sheep in their family.”
These are some of the questions they ask me.
Why am I the one who has such a difficult time in my family?
Why am I the one the family comes to for everything?
One of the women said, “Mary, my family doesn’t talk to me, but they will talk about me”.
She has said more times than I can remember, “I am always misunderstood”.
This is my answer to them and anyone who sees themselves in this situation, or one similar to what these women face.
Know that;
You are chosen!
You are a leader!
You are an anchor for your family!
God has chosen you to carry the family.
Not only will you carry your family, but you will also help others as they carry their families.
You are also set apart.
You are not like everyone in your family.
You are the Salt.
You are the one who will persevere for your family.
Remember, Joseph didn’t do anything to his family (brothers, dad, mom), yet his brothers wanted to kill him.
However, God had a bigger plan for him.
Genesis 37:10
When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”
And exactly what Joseph’s father said would happen happened. His mother had passed, however his father, who spoke those words and his brothers lived to see what God had revealed to Joseph.
Your time is coming, wait for it and trust what God has given to you.
