When shadows fall and hope runs thin,
When battles rage and storms begin,
Lift up your eyes, don’t count defeat
The Author’s pen has yet to cease.

The world may whisper, “You’re too late,”
But heaven holds a different fate.
Each setback, trial, tear and scar
Is part of who you truly are.

The door may close, the night may stay,
But morning waits to light your way.
For every “no” that life may shout,
God writes a “yes” that cast out doubt.

So stand your ground, refuse to bend,
This chapter’s not the story’s end.
The final word, the last decree
Belongs to Him who set you free.
