Job had positioned himself in a way that his spirit and his soul were in an intimate relationship with God.
Within their relationship, God could speak to Job, and he would hear Him when no words were spoken.
When there was total silence after a trying time in his life, Job knew exactly what God was saying.
Many times, people are so busy with their lives that they have no time to hear God speak to them.
They have questions they want answered, yet they have no time for God.
If Job were not in the right position with God, he would not have been able to hear God speak.
The Lord Speaks
The Lord spoke to Job and asked him many questions, and He went on to tell Job that he would answer all of the questions asked.
Job 40:8-10 says;
V8. “Would you discredit my justice?
Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
V9. Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?
V10. Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
God wants to tell you what He wants you to know: He will vindicate you. And He wants you to know He will teach you, so position yourself to hear all that He has to say to you.
In Chapter 42, Job continued to speak to the Lord, and he said;

V1. Then Job replied to the Lord:

V2. I know that you can do all things; No purpose of yours can be thwarted (prevent someone from accomplishing something, oppose a plan)

V3. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
    Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know.

V4. “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’

V5. My ears had heard of you, but now my eyes have seen you.

V6. Therefore, I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”

Job 1

In the land of Uz, there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
